Operating Mechanism:
To be 100% reliable and in accordance with the standard in different locations, there are three types of operating mechanism to activate FMD for our customers to choose including Rupture Disk, Electromechanical Spring, and Electromechanical Hammer.
Rupture Disk:
Rupture Disk is a replaceable emergency pressure relief device actuated by the pre-defined pressure difference between two sides of the disk. Once the pressure in transformer exceeds the pre-set value of the rupture disk, it blasts to allow the oil released from the transformer to the fire cabinet.
Electromechanical Spring:
Electromechanical Spring is a reusable mainly consists of a set of operating mechanism including a spring and a valve. If the control box receives the fault signals from the transformer, FMD activates. At this moment, the spring is tripped to release the stored energy and to open the oil draining valve.
Electromechanical Hammer:
Electromechanical Hammer consists of a hammer mechanism and a set of oil draining valve. After the control box receives the fault signals from the transformer, an electromagnet device is first activated to drops the hammer and to open the oil draining valve.
